I regularly visit the TradeMe website just to keep me busy when I got nothing else to do but there were some occasions wherein I end up buying an item. Like this one time when I saw an old Canon film camera with Sigma telephoto lens released on 1988 and a Canon 28-80mm EF lens. Well, that moment was the ultimate test of my impulsivity. I joined the auction even though I knew that my wife would kill me if she finds out. Come on, the deal was a no brainer. The bidding price started at $30 and that's pretty affordable for an item like that. However, I eventually found out that the reserve price was a wee bit higher but I still proceeded with the auction so I could satisfy my desire to have it. I had to have this item. To make the long story short, I won the auction, my wife found out and killed me. She then resurrected me and we went to the seller's location right away. How sweet.

I was a little disappointed when I saw the Sigma lens due to its sad condition. It looked very dusty and the body was a little sticky with black elements sticking on my hands upon scrutiny. The moment I got home I wiped it right away with wet cloth while my tears dripping from either side of my eyes. I was afraid of my life if it doesn't work and my wife finds out. I prayed to the camera gods for protection then I proceeded and wrapped the sticky part of the lens' body with foil. Additionally, I unscrewed the front glass of the lens and cleaned it with alcohol to remove some growing fungus. The fun part started when I attached it to my Canon 5d Mark II. Here are some of the photos I took with the Sigma lens.
